ConvertKit is an awesome tool that helps you to create automation rules and better maintain a mailing list. Without further do, you can shoot and automate emails being sent to your subscribers. And the best part is that everything is nearly automated.
Let me discuss it further with you on why choose ConvertKit below:
- Higher Open Rates: This is one of the most important features of ConvertKit and Why do I recommend it over tools like MailChimp. Your emails are just landing in the “Primary” tab on Gmail which means they will be seen and not missed into the Promotions tab or Spam folder instead.
- Simple Plain Emails Save Time: Yes! Unlike other apps, you’ll not have to fill in a template every time you send an email. ConvertKit is basic and very plain which means you will spend less time writing an email and getting it delivered. Literally, You will type your email, then hit send.
- More Advanced Analytics: On ConvertKit, you’re doing email marketing like a pro. You will get more advanced analytics graphs and details about your subscribers and where each of them is coming from. You can also see what other tags or forms each of your subscribers are on and how active they’re in opening your emails.
- Build Landing Pages: With other email marketing products, you may spend like $30+ per month to build and customize landing pages. What I love about ConvertKit is that it allows you to build landing pages without paying a dime as it’s included in your package.
- Subscribers History: Wow! This is another great feature of ConvertKit. You can simply ‘Spy’ on your subscriber’s history. What emails they’ve open, and what are their interests since they joined your email list.
And tons and tons of other amusing features which you don’t want to miss if you’re serious about list building and growing it from zero. After that, it’s time to learn how to manage and delete tags in ConvertKit.
How to Delete Tags in ConvertKit?
There could be many reasons why you may need to delete a tag. For example, you may want to update your tags. Or you may want to re-organize and segment your subscribers. In short, tags allow you to assign notes to your subscribers.
It will simply scale up your email marketing strategies to the next level. The power of tags is seriously endless as it will let you build different segments of subscribers and target each of them upon their interests and tags when sending a new email message.
Now, Which tags you might need to delete?
- Deleting a tag that has current subscribers.
- Deleting a tag that doesn’t have current subscribers.
I will explain both situations with a clear workaround on how to delete the tag successfully without messing up your subscriber’s list.
Deleting Tags without Subscribers
This is the easiest workaround! You’re deleting a tag that already doesn’t have any active subscribers. All you need to do is to proceed and click “delete” on the stage and remove it forever. And never look back since it’s already empty.
Here are the steps with screenshots:
- Click on Subscribers Tab
- Choose the tag and click “Edit”
- Click “Delete” to remove the tag
- You’re done!
Deleting Tags with Subscribers
You’ll first need to shift over tags. For example, you can easily create a new tag and then transfer all subscribers on the old tag to the new one. Once this has been done, you’ll get that old tab with 0 subscribers. And here you can use the above-mentioned method to delete the tab as you wanted to.
Here are the steps with screenshots:
- Click on Subscribers Tab
- Create a New Tab
- Assign Subscribers to this New Tab
- The old tag should have 0 Subscribers
- Choose the old tag and click “Edit”
- Click “Delete” to remove the tag
- You’re done!
